The Committee on Education moved to amend the bill on page 1, after the enacting clause by striking out the remainder of the bill in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

(a) All county boards of education shall make feminine hygiene products, as defined in subsection (b) of this section, available in grades three through 12 to female students attending public school.  

(b) For the purposes of this section, "feminine hygiene products" means tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the menstrual cycle.

(c) All county boards of education shall develop a policy for the provision of feminine hygiene products at no cost and in a discrete manner to female students who do not otherwise have access to such feminine hygiene products.
